Chibi Quebec and Ontario

Done with ipad app Procreate.

My Québec OC and Ontario OC. I don't follow the IAmMatthewian project character designs because I designed mine before learning about the project.

Samuel Lafleur (QC) is the one on top and John York (ON) is the one below.
For the design, it's quite obvious that Sam takes a lot after France while John is a tinier England look-alike. Except for the ahoge and the violet eyes, which he take after Matty.

While they are both blond, I prefer to think that Ontario's hair is more brown because up to this morning, I thought that England had brown hair. And then I looked him up on wikia and discovered that he was blond. Oops. While you can't notice much of a difference in this pic, in my future fanarts his hair will be a little bit darker than his brother's.

Usually, they'd be at each other's throat but I thought they were too cute to be fighting. (actually, it looks like Québec was pulling Ontario's hair but then he spotted that butterfly and lost all interest xD )

...I don't know why Québec climbed on Ontario's shoulder. Maybe you can link that to their geographical positions. While I'm at it, some random tidbit of info: Quebec was called Lower Canada and Ontario used to be Upper Canada not because of geographical positions, obviously, but because of topography.

Btw, Happy (late) Canada Day! I didn't have the time to post anything...and this lil pic doesn't include all of Canada. Sorry. Maybe I should have done a chibi Matthy.
